Fuzz Townshend

Robert "Fuzz" Townshend (born on 31 July 1964) is a British drummer.

Biography

Drumming from the age of 10, Townsend found some success with both General Public and Pop Will Eat Itself, with whom he played from 1991 onwards. With the demise of PWEI, he became part of Bentley Rhythm Ace and has released two solo albums. Townshend has also played alongside Ranking Roger, and is currently working with Pama International, Vileevils, Jean Robert Jovenet, Modified Toy Orchestra, Lovers Electric and others.

• The track "Smash It" featured in the Channel 4 comedy series 'Spaced', by Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson
• "At Auntie Tom's" featured on the soundtrack to National Lampoon's Van Wilder
• He is currently based in Bishop's Castle, Shropshire.
• He is currently employed as a writer for the Emap magazine Practical Classics
